Pool maintenance is certainly not a quick and easy job. Instead, it requires diligent attention during all months of the year to ensure it remains in proper working order.
Rather than adding this job to your already-busy schedule, let us handle your pool maintenance for you! As a pool owner, you should be able to spend all your time enjoying your pool and a lot less time taking care of it. This way you can spend less time worrying about what’s in the water and more time enjoying the pool.
One of the biggest and most time-consuming tasks when it comes to year-round pool maintenance is ensuring that the water is in proper chemical balance at all times. Total alkalinity (TA) is an important factor in pool maintenance and refers to the amount of alkaline in the water. TA and pH affect one another directly.
While high alkaline water leads to a high pH, low alkaline water causes a low pH. Ideally, pool water should have an alkalinity of 100 ppm and pH of 7.4 to 7.6. Maintaining optimal pH levels is crucial for keeping the pool finish and equipment in optimal condition. If the pH level is too high, the chlorine will dissolve faster, and of it’s too low, the chlorine will be inactive.
Another factor that needs to be considered in pool water maintenance is calcium hardness. The proper amount of calcium in your pool is critical. Too little could lead to plaster erosion, while too much can make the water cloudy. Proper calcium hardness of a pool should be anywhere between 200 to 400 pm.
As you can see, there’s a lot that goes into pool maintenance year-round. Rather than tacking this job onto your already busy schedule, you can set up a regular schedule to have our technicians do it for you.
